Buyer wants to repay for an item that initially didn't shoe up.
I have a complicated problem that I just can't get to a live agent. The Chat assistant is no help at all. Here is the situation: A buyer for an item never received it on time. Even though it was not my fault that the USPS was not delivering, out of the goodness of my heart, I refunded her her money, even though I had nothing to do with the postal service. Now the item finally showed up, and the buyer wants to repay me for the item. How does she repay me? That is my predictament.

Mentor2 years agoYou can arrange with the buyer for them to pay you outside of eBay - eBay does not have a way for them to pay. You can use PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, even a paper check - whatever works best for you both. You will need the buyer’s email address to send a PayPal invoice, the buyer will need your email to use the other services.
BTW - you are responsible for the package until delivery even when the PO loses it, so if the buyer had opened a not received claim, you would be the one to refund. Just so you know for next time 🙂
