Buyer wants to decline the authentication process in the purchase of a ring

I have a buyer who is wanting to purchase a ring from me. The ring Iâ€™m selling is supposed to have an authentication process done before it ships to the buyer. The buyer is telling me that they can decline that and I can ship it directly to them Once payment is made through eBay. Is this true? Is this a good idea?

That is not true. Ebay selects which items go through the Authenticity Guarantee. Neither the Buyer nor the Seller can ask for that service or declined it.

Let the Buyer know you need to complete the transaction the way eBay has it set up.

Don't let this Buyer bully you or try to convince you that every other Seller does this for them all the time.
