Buyer wants shipping delayed by one week

Question

Buyer purchased an item but wants me to delay shipping it for a week. Can I do that? If I can then will it affect my shipping timeframe and cause me as a seller to be late shipping?

You are required by Ebay to ship within your specified handling time and that cannot be extended, otherwise it could affect you service metrics as a seller.

Explain the policy to the buyer and perhaps they can have their mail held if they will be unable to receive it.

As a last resort, you can suggest that the buyer request a cancellation so that you can cancel the transaction and relist it for the buyer to purchase at a later date.
