Buyer wants refund on item won in auction
Two days after listing an item, I noticed I mistakenly listed the wrong model number. Since bids had been placed, I was unable to correct the listing heading. So I updated the description with the correct model number. The pictures in the listing also show the correct item and model number. The winning bidder received the item and now wants a refund saying I misrepresented the item. It should be noted that the winning bidder did not place his first bid until four days after I updated the description with the correct model number. I would assume any buyer would look at pictures and read the description of the item before bidding. I generally don’t accept returns, but told them I would give a full refund if they paid return shipping on the item. Am I wrong by asking the buyer to pay for return shipping? Just trying to get this resolved. Thanks.

I'm very sorry this happened, but I'm afraid that you are wrong ... which eBay will confirm if you push the issue.
As you were aware that you had made a mistake, you should have confirmed that the buyer noticed the discrepancy before shipping the item.
Since you have a 'no return' policy ... eBay will refund the buyer and let them keep the item if they are brought into the case. You should provide the prepaid shipping label within 3 business days to avoid losing the money and the item.

The information in the listing was wrong, so you'll have to pay return shipping.
