Buyer wants refund on a item that was sold as damaged
I sold 2 items. Both previously damaged. In both listings I noted with pictures and description of damage as well as noting that I accept no liability for further damage, as well as a no refund policy on these 2 items. Buyer has video and pictures of USPS dropping these 2 boxes along with several other boxes the carrier was delivering. Pictures were sent to me of the damage, and it looks like there was minimal further damage if any from the mishandling of the boxes. Buyer is requesting a $200 refund on a $350 sale via messages. I fear that this buyer will contact ebay and push through a return. It has been my experience that ebay typically will not side with a buyer on issues with seller complaints, and I will be forced to accept 2 returns, and get 2 negative feedbacks on my seller account.

If this is regarding the two Norev items that sold on 2/25, both are covered by the eBay 30-day Money Back Guarantee. That Guarantee overrides an individual Seller's return policy and any disclaimers in the listing.
The Buyer can open an Item Not as Described refund request. If they do, you are required to respond within three business days with either a prepaid return label or a refund.
In this scenario, it's really up to you if you want to pay for the items to be returned or offer a partial refund.
If the Buyer opens the case, and you don't respond on time, eBay can force a full refund from your funds.
If the Buyer is claiming the box arrived damaged, you could request pictures to file an insurance claim.
If you have any other questions, please update this post and we'll be happy to help.
