Buyer wants refund because item sent to wrong address
Hello,
I sold an item to an individual. I am very prompt about getting orders out as soon as possible. The item was shipped and about 4 hours later the buyer sent me a message saying they changed their address in the system and wanted the item sent to the new address. I told them the item had already shipped.
Yesterday, 2/5, the buyer received the message the item had been delivered. Since it was not delivered to the new address the buyer wants a full refund.
Sending to the wrong address was not my fault. Now I cannot recover the item.
What would be your recommendation?

You're right to ship to the address that was there when the buyer paid. So, during Checkout.
If you received the buyer's message before shipping, you should have cancelled and relist, so the buyer could add the changed address.
So, you can refuse the refund.
