Buyer wants a refund on postage because the package is late arriving
Buyer wants refunded on shipping cost because it is 2 days late,contacted post office they say since it is the holiday alot of packages are being delayed
what can I do

Mentor2 years ago@5bendele Of course they are, check their Feedback, see if other Sellers mentioned any issues with them.
My post explained what the Buyer's option is for a late shipment if they do not receive it by the estimated delivery date. Late deliveries are not new ... nor do Sellers issue partial refunds for a late shipments BUT they do have to refund a transaction if a claim is filed and the package never shows or does not show within the claim period.

This replay assumes you shipped within your Handling time.
You can explain that during the holiday season shipping delays are common for some areas and completely out of the Seller's control. Let them know they can file an Item not received claim one day past the original estimated delivery date. If they do YOU upload the tracking number to the claim and when delivered with int he 4 day claim close the claim in your favor.
If there is more delay you can contact eBay on day 4 of the claim and ask for an extension, they will extend the claim UP TO 4 additional days.
Today you can file a Missing mail piece with USPS if you want.
