Buyer wants a refund on a GPU that claims is defective when before it was shipped, wasn't.
Hi, I have a buyer claiming the used graphics card I sold him arrived defective. He said he stated "I have now completed swapping out the other parts to rule out other defects as well as trying the GPU in another PC"
I had tested it in my pc before shipping it and it had worked perfectly fine. He could have ended up messing with it when he received it, and then "claiming it as defective". I have others who have bought the same model card from me and left feedback saying theirs worked fine when they received it. I have no returns listed. Not sure what to do here.

·2 years agoJust because it worked before you shipped it, doesn't mean it works when the buyer receives it.
If the buyer has filed an INAD, you have 2 options and the MBG overrules your No Returns.
Either refund the buyer and let them keep it.
Or, accept the return, pay return shipping and give a full refund when something is returned.

OP2 years agoSo he ordered this over a month ago and it got delivered to him more than a month ago, which is more than 30 days. It really sounds like he messed up and broke it himself as it doesn't make sense to contact me over a month from receiving it and say it's defective. What is the period a buyer can file a claim on a return? Is ebays money back guarantee 30 days?
