buyer wanted a refund
I sold a watch. the buyer claimed it was a fake and ebay granted the return hen the buyer decided to open up the watch by prying it open and it doing so
broke the watch! should the buyer now pay for the watch? he even sent me pictures after he opened the watch!

Mentor1 year agoYou need to refund the buyer in full. You can report the buyer for opening the watch and damaging it, uploading the photo(s) the buyer sent you.

If the Buyer has been refunded, eBay considers the case closed and will not get involved.
If the Buyer opened an Item Not as Described refund request, it is always in the Seller's best interest to respond to that request within three business days. If you don't, eBay will step in and force the refund.
If eBay forces the refund, you will not get your selling fees back and will get a serious defect on your account.
