Buyer using every excuse not to refund me
I bought a grill for my car on here which took almost 3 weeks to get to my house, they shipped from China, received the grill and felt that it was very cheaply made and contacted the seller so I can return it and get refunded. I contacted the seller and he first said "no he can't and won't return and for me just to sale it myself on ebay." I messaged him back and demanded a refund, he says "you have to pay for shipping costs and in the end it won't be worth it that it would exceed $200 dollars and that I'd have to pay for the shipping," I agreed went to the post office and shipped it out to him, which only cost $90 dollars, also provided pictures of the package along with tracking number. He then messaged me and said most likely I won't be receiving a refund because the box was damaged, which it was tapped up on one side due to me opening the package, and most likely that his product was damaged, what do i do?

Since you did not return the item via an official eBay return claim (or if you did you did not state that) the Seller is under no obligation to refund you. Normally Buyers do that via the item in their Purchase history. eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
At this point since the item is no longer in your possession it may make it hard to file a claim via your funding source (PayPal, credit card, etc.).
