Buyer states item wasn't received but USPS tracking shows it was delivered
Hello,
I have a buyer who opened a case for an item not received. I checked the tracking and USPS shows the item as being delivered to person at the address.
Regarding the request, I have sent the buyer the tracking information. I have asked them to confirm their shipping address from the order and I have asked them if they have asked any other individuals at the address if they have seen the package.
I have not gotten ANY responses from the buyer to any of my messages.
At this point, do I just have to send them a REFUND?
I did open a missing package request with USPS, although I knew what was going to happen, they simply confirmed it shows DELIVERED.
The item was about $40, and I don't want my seller rating DINGED because of it, but I would think the buyer should have to at least respond to my messages about the issue.
Anyone have any similar experience?

Mentor2 years agoIn the case the buyer filed you should be able to add the tracking information.
If you sent the item to the address that was provided in the payment notice you should be covered for any "item not received" claims.
Just make sure you add the tracking details in that report.
You have three days to add this information.
If you can prove delivery, eBay should close the claim in your favor and you will not have to refund the buyer.

OP2 years agoIs there anything I need to do to get eBay involved to close the case?
I just don't want it to "DING" my seller profile.

Mentor2 years agoNo, eBay should step in automatically to close the case. It might take several days but it is automatic. There is nothing you can do.
As long as you shipped to the correct address, have proof of delivery, and input delivery confirmation within 3 days of the buyer opening the case, you will not get your account dinged.
