Buyer seems hacked or scammer help
Summary: candeew expressed concern over a potential scam involving a buyer whose address appeared to change after the shipment. Despite proof of delivery, the buyer claimed not to receive the item and mentioned a different state in their address. fashionsandbeauty4u advised that as long as the item was shipped to the address listed in the Order Details with proof of delivery, candeew should be protected. They suggested maintaining the tracking number in case of a chargeback and noted the 30-day refund policy. candeew is also experiencing difficulty contacting eBay customer service for further assistance.
I shipped an item July 22, 2026 and it still says created label shipped. I checked and it was delivered just not updated. The buyer never contacted me until August 25, 2026 saying not received. At this time I messaged it was delivered and sent proof, but I noticed the address wasn't the same in the buyer account and the shipping label. This is odd. The buyer never contacted me again until today Sept 15, 2026 and said they don't know who that is but they live in Alaska. If you go into my buyer shipping address now it shows AK and there is no Wasilla AK. It seems they changed their address after it was shipped and delivered but made an error with the new state. Today I screen shot their user name in my account and clicking it and it shows 2 different user names depending on which way it is done. I feel like this may be a hijacked account or a scammer. They haven't asked for refund or stared a case and that is odd too. I did ship and it did deliver am I ok to block t his account now? Help please . I would like to contact ebay customer service but the help takes me in a circle of same and nothing resolved.

As long as you shipped to the exact address in the Order Details, and tracking shows a successful delivery to that address, you should be good.
With the eBay 30-day Money Back Guarantee, the Buyer would need to open a refund request within 30 days of purchase.
The Buyer mighty still be able to open a chargeback with their bank/credit card. If possible, be sure to keep the tracking number in case the Buyer does that to prove delivery
