Buyer Scammed Me, First Appeal Failed
Really appreciate any help in advance
Description of problem:
I sold an item to a buyer, and buyer quickly mark the item as "fake" and submit a return request. The picture they provided is just a random screenshot of reddit. Despite my many attempts to contact the buyer, they did not respond. Ebay decided that this is enough for them to return the item anyway.
The buyer "returned" the item magically in a couple hours, using a tracking number where the receiving address/name is NOT me, and the sender is NOT the buyer. I can't get written proof by Fedex because my name is not listed on the shipment. Ebay apparently thinks this is enough for the appeal case to be closed.
Now I can't re-open the case or anything. What should I do? I have the buyer's original address, should I contact the police at this point?
