Buyer says wrong item was sent
Buyer contacted me and said the wrong item was sent. She stated instead of the plates and bowls I shipped, a fishing rod came. The original shipping label was on a bag with the reel in it. I told her I would contact ebay and the fraud department. If, and that's a big if, the postal service "swapped" out the label with a fishing rod that would be considered a federal crime.
I'm not trusting any of this. Has anyone ever experienced this ?

If this was a sale in USA, the USPS photographs packages along the way and could see if the package changed in size and dimensions or was tampered with.
If it is an international sale through EIS, it's possible the labels were switched at the hub.
The buyer should open a return and eBay will handle it. You will get to keep your money.
