Buyer says they aren’t sure what feedback they will leave.
I sold an item I believed is wood, but it’s resin. Buyer says they’re very disappointed, but don’t want to send the item back. They also said they aren’t sure what feedback they will leave due to their disappointment . It seems like maybe it’s a subtle threat.

The buyer isn't threatening you, the buyer is telling you he isn't sure yet what feedback he's going to leave you. He is unhappy with his purchase because he thought he was getting wood and received resin instead.
Clearly he's disappointed. Since the item wasn't as described, it would behoove you to invite a return at your expense or give him some compensation. If he returns the item, you pay for return shipping anyway so why not offer him a partial refund equal to the shipping he paid (along with a sincere apology for your error) and maybe that will make him happy?

OP2 years agoI did offer a refund and to send them a label to return right away. Since then I haven’t gotten an answer.
I did have a message from a buyer not long ago that was abusive(which I did report as eBay saw the message and said to do). Maybe I’m just jumpy since then. I do refund when I get the item back, or immediately if they send photos of broken items.
