Buyer said cloths had bad smell

Hi, I sold a clothing item and the buyer claimed it had a bad smell? The buyer provided no details about the kind of smell? The item was as new, never tried on or worn just washed with softener and placed it in a new Rubbermaid container for storage with softner sheets. When I shipped the item it smelled like the softener. What to do? Thanks in advance for your advice. Btw, I ship in new heavy duty boxes all items are secured inside protective plastic bags.

I really wish the buyer had contacted me before posting the neg fb. It really has taken the joy out of eBay for me, I know it’s just one but still you work so had to send out a quality product!

There are many people who are hyper sensitive to smell. If this Buyer is feels the item cannot be worn, they are covered for up to 30 days from delivery by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

That Guarantee overrides an individual Seller's return policy. If the Buyer opened an Item Not as Described refund request, you are required to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return label or offer a refund.

Once the item is returned, you would need to issue a full refund.
