Buyer Returns Item without consent
I have a Buyer who bought a motorcycle part on blind faith without researching whether it fit his BMW model. He returned. the item and now wants a refund; this is a case of a buyer ordering something that didn't fit his needs, now he wants me to refund the purchase price.
As a Seller I always verify the fitment and specs of items sold for vehicles, I don't feel responsible for a Buyer's poor judgement.
Isn't this just Buyers Remorse?

Mentor6 days ago@rkovacic I just want to clarify that free return shipping means a buyer can return an item for ANY reason.
IF you do not have Free Return shipping then how the return is handled depends on the reason the buyer uses to file the return request. For example if the buyer selects a remorse reason such as doesn't fit, changed mind, etc, THEN your return policy over rides the eBay MBG.
If the buyer SAYS it is not as described then you MUST accept issue the return shipping label and refund the buyer when the item is returned. If you don't then eBay forces a refund, you get a Defect, the buyer may be allowed to keep the item.

Mentor1 week agoHow do you mean the buyer returned the item? Did they open a case or just return the item to you without opening a case? If they opened a case which case what it? All of this is important to know before we can give you an answer.

OP1 week agoI was reselling an item I had previously purchased, the Buyer opened the item and appeared to try to install on his motorcycle. Claimed it didn't fit. Details on the item were clearly stated in the auction. He then created a Return without contacting me prior.

Mentor1 week agoHi @rkovacic
Buyers don't have to contact you before opening a return. Your return policy reads:
30 days returns. Seller pays for return shipping.
