Buyer returns item w/ false claim, can't get a live person at eBay to respond-I have service request
A buyer returned an item and stated it wasn't as described or pictured. The item was the item in the photo on the listing and the description was accurate. I was able to reach a live eBay person named Maria who agreed that both the description and the photo were correct.
She told me to accept the item to be returned and when I received it to reach out to eBay immediately and not to issue a refund. She gave me a service request number in which she stated she had said that the buyer had made a false claim.
I am now getting emails from eBay telling me to issue a refund.
I cannot get a live person on eBay - I've tried many different ways to ask on the virtual assistant but it won't have an agent call me. I've googled eBay phone numbers, but they just try to give you a link to the help section on their website.
How can I get an agent to call me, as directed by Maria and get this sorted out?

Mentor2 years agoTo speak to customer service, use the link on the left side of this page “have us call you†- https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4002&st=10
If you don't see 'have us call you' right under the chat link, click chat. Then at the bottom of the chat topics, click more, then click contact an agent.
Don’t be surprised if they tell you to issue the refund, and then enter an appeal.
I would actually just refund, relist and move on. False returns are part of selling online.
