Buyer returned my watch, I never received it, watch was returned to buyer and received a refund!

Sold a expensive watch and shipped out same day.
Customer received watch and wanted to return. I have automatic OK returns.
Customer shipped with signature required and no one was available when the shipper (FedEx) attempted delivery. They left a notice and said they would return the next delivery day. I was home every day for the next 4 days and FedEx never attempted to re-deliver.
Watch was returned to buyer by FedEx and was received on Aug. 15. and they also received a full refund. Now the buyer has my watch and my money!
What the *&% can I do now.?
Getting eBay to step in and help is hopeless. Worst Seller Protection I've ever seen.
