Buyer returned item that now smells like cigarette

Question

I had a customer return a blazer because they said the color was too dark. When I received the 100% Wool Blazer back, it now smells like cigarette smoke. Does Ebay require me to reimburse them in full even though it now smells like cigarette and I am going to have to get that out before I can resell it?

ebay is not showing me your Sold items. If you have free returns, or if you are a top rated seller with 30 day returns and 1 day handling, you can withhold up to 50% of the return because the item was returned in a condition that devalued the item.

Refund the buyer. Get the coat dry cleaned.
