Buyer returned item after 30 days
Had a buyer purchase a ski jacket back in February. She responded after received and said it didnt fit and requested a refund
a week later. I do not normally offer returns (especially for sizing) as i am detailed in the description with measurements. I said ok if she wants to pay to return it thats on her. At this point her shipping charges were almost adding up to what she bought the jacket for. Had no further correspondences so I was awaiting the package.
By mid March, I received an email from eBay saying they closed the return request since they have no info saying she returned the item. I figured she decided to keep the jacket and that was it.
Yesterday i received an message saying she mailed the jacket and issue my refund. I told it was past the 30 window and she responded she had health issues and couldnt return it.
Any suggested moving forward to resolve this?

As annoying as this is I would refund the jacket price ONLY. Keep the outbound shipping cost. You can do this by going to the sold item on this page> https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS select send refund from the drop down menu next to the item. Reason > other
This is all you would have refunded IF she had returned it with the refund case too.
You get your fees back on the amount you refund.
She's probably going to end up negative $ between paying return shipping AND not realizing that she doesn't get outbound shipping refunded.
This will actually end up being a lesson for her.
