You can still let eBay know you received the item back damaged. Use the Report Buyer link on the Sold item before doing anything else. Select reasons closest to the issue so you can get to a typing field and explain in more detail what happened. Just state the facts in the typing field.
As to the refund you need to complete within 2 days, review your Seller Protections, some may apply and you might be able to withhold the original shipping the Buyer paid if you charge for that and up to 50% of the item price to help cut your loss: Seller protections | eBay
