Buyer return request
need some help on how to others would handle a sale where customer sent low offer , I denied sends me another offer which I accepted several hours later she claims that she did not send and where did I get that price and why did I charge her credit etc . I explained I have no control over that . Messages continued to me as she clearly was mad . I reported to eBay nothing, now item received and she’s claiming I had wrong size not true and sends a cut off pic of waist measurements saying item not as described and EBay just accepts without reviewing listing . Last time I requested help with a return same thing not a lot of help from customer service . Curious everyone else handles and trust me had I not already shipped I would have cancelled prior

Mentor1 year ago@kikascloset5 I know it's frustrating to get returns where buyers are lying about the return reason.
If the buyer files a refund request saying that the item is not as described then you need to accept the return and issue the return shipping label.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee overrules your returns policy. Your return policy only applies if the buyer files a buyer's remorse return: Doesn't fit, changed mind, etc.
If you do not accept the return willingly then the buyer can ask eBay to step in and forces a refund. You do not get your seller's fees back, you get a defect and the buyer may be allowed to keep the item.
If the buyer abuses the eBay MBG in some way then you can report them but it doesn't get your money back:

ellers have protection for return abuse if they offer FREE RETURN shipping on their listings OR if they are a Top Rated seller and offer 30 days or greater returns. The seller can then reduce the refund amount by up to 50% if the buyer sends a different item or somehow reduces the value of the item.

OP1 year agoThank you , it seems very unfair and one sided . I don’t offer returns and she is not being truthful my listing and item are exactly the size she sent offer on she says I sent wrong size and the crops pic of her measurements of shorts and eBay never reviews my listing to see if her claim is correct. I appreciate you responding, I’m just frustrated.

It's better to offer buyer pays returns. It can help improve your sales. Also the bad buyers are going to lie anyways to be able to return the item but this gives the marginally bad buyers a way to return an item that doesn't fit.
I understand that it's frustrating that buyers can lie about a return reason and you have to accept it.
Be sure to report the buyer for return abuse so it goes on their record. Buyers can lose their eBay Money Back Guarantee benefits if they keep abusing the returns system.
