Buyer Return
If a buyer received a party dress on September 17 and then waited 19 days to initiate a return because it "didn't fit" (despite being provided with measurements across the chest, hips, and length) why don't I have any input and Ebay forces me to accept the return?

Mentor11 months agoJust know that by choosing No Returns, that doesn't mean no refunds. I too have free returns and in this case, the buyer must return the item because the return was accepted. If they don't return, you don't refund.

In looking at your return policy, it states that you accept returns for up to 30 days with the Buyer paying return shipping. That would be why eBay automatically accepted the return.
If she returns the dress on time and if it's in a different condition than as sent, you might be able to deduct up to 50% of the refund for loss of value.

Mentor11 months agoIn the fashion category you cannot have less than 30 days. You can state no returns.

If you were somehow able to change your return policy to 14 days, that would not be supported or enforced by eBay since fashion is not an approved 14-day category.
It's actually better to keep the 30-day window. If a Buyer returns an item and it's not the same as sent, you might have the option to deduct up to 50% of the refund due to loss of value. If you switched to 14-day returns, you would need to refund in full no matter what.
