Buyer Return
I received my purchase with damage, not due to shipping. The product was damaged prior to shipment, which was not mentioned in the sellers eBay description or pictures. If I would have known of the damage definitely would not have made the purchase.
I contacted the seller immediately providing pictures of the damage and requesting a refund and return shipping, to which he denied. We exchanged emails several times but couldn't reach agreement. I then went through eBay return process. The seller then offered me a bogus $1 refund which I denied because the purchase price was much more.
The next day, the seller offered a return shipping label. Unfortunately, the seller provided a shipping label with the wrong Return name and address and zip code out of spite. Most important the prepaid amount is very insufficient for a package of this size.
eBay is of little help because their system only recognizes that a shipping label has been issued, and requests that I take action (Accept or Decline). eBay doesn't see the incorrect information on the label. If I decline the return then eBay will step out of the return process. I requested the seller update the shipping label, but don't expect to hear anything back. I can't connect with a real person at eBay, I'm continually sent to on-line self help which is useless at this point. I think that eBay will not "Step in" with the return process in 3 business days if I don't take accept the return.
Seems like I'm stuck here, has anyone been through something similar? Can anyone direct me to a person or department at eBay that can help? This seller is a real Grifter!
