The buyer offered me a fair price for my item and says I can add Buy It Now for the price of his offer and he will buy it. I do NOT have the Offers option activated. This seems to go against the spirit of an auction. There are already 4 bids on the item and it has 4 more days to run. Is this against eBay policy? I can't find a good answer in the Help section. I am disinclined to accept his offer for ethical reasons, in spite of the policy. He says eBay doesn't care as long as it is before...

@ellisd. You cannot add a Buy It Now if the auction already has bids.Offers are not made through messages. I would just invite them to place a bid and wish them luck.
