Buyer requests different shipping after item purchased and paid for.

Question

I have a possible problem. I sold an item for 15.00. Sold and paid for, then buyer texts through Ebay and wants me to overnight it to calif. Since he has already paid for regular shipping would I even be able to do that. Plus, he wants to apple pay - which I don't do.Red Flags are going up on this one.Also, how can I cancel the sale and not get dinged?

I would tell the buyer that you are not able to send overnight, and would he prefer to cancel his purchase? Then you can cancel as buyer requested.

If you decide to send overnight, I would set up a listing for him to purchase the upgraded shipping - that way he can use whatever payment option he prefers. Like this - https://www.ebay.com/itm/285468665506 I would not send the item until he pays for the upgrade since it will cost as much as the item.

Before you set it up, make sure that express mail is overnight to his location. Check that using the price calculator - it will also show the delivery commitment.
