Buyer requests delayed shipping
My buyer wants the item shipped over a week past the purchase date because he will be away from home. If I delay shipping by more than a week, will I be dinged?

If you do not ship the item on time, you will be "dinged" by Ebay.
Tell the buyer they can arrange for the post office to hold their packages while they are away.
