buyer requested cancellation after purchase
After the buyer purchased the item and paid for it he requested that we cancelled the order and at that point I haven't shipped the item but I gave it to a Courier which had packaged it for me so now I am being charged for them packaging it even though they didn't ship it how do I cancel the order for the buyer without refunding all of his money so that I don't have to pay out of my pocket for the item being packaged that he already purchased

You can’t - you can only issue a full refund on a cancellation. You cannot charge a cancellation fee or a restocking fee.
You will need to have it packaged when you sell it again, so have you really lost anything? It sounds like you really have just paid the packaging cost ahead of time for the next sale.

OP1 year agoThats odd not saying your wrong but the representative that called me from eBay said that I could do a cancellation of the order and not refund the funds and be able to charge them a partial fund on their shipping for the packaging so
I'm not sure if they even know what's going on but I thank you for the response and hope you have a wonderful day
