Buyer request shipping to a different address
A buyer asked me to ship the items they purchased to a different address other than the one listed on their eBay account when they purchased my items. How do I proceed without potentially being scammed?

The way you proceed is to message the Buyer and advise them they need to message you asking for a cancellation on the transaction so they can update their account with the correct address. When you cancel you use the reason "Buyer requested ...". That avoids a strike on your account. You in turn will then Relist the item and they can purchase once their account is updated.
This needs to happen within your Handling time or you will get a late shipping defect.

In order to keep your seller protection, you must ship to the address provided by Ebay.
The buyer can request that you cancel the transaction and re-purchase using the correct shipping address.
Are you positive that it was actually the buyer that ask to ship to a different address?
