BUYER REQUEST RETURN - But I'd rather just refund them with no return
When I get a "buyer requests return" my Ebay account immediately approves the 'return request" without my input. Sometimes, rather than me paying for the return shipping, I would rather just tell the buyer to keep the item and issue them a full refund. However, Ebay immediately approves the request and issues them a shipping label, which I assume means that I have already paid for the return shipping. Is there any way to offer the buyer a full refund WITHOUT them paying for return shipping label?

Mentor2 years agoYou don't pay for the return label unless/until the buyer uses it. Go back to the return case and ask the buyer not to return the item, and use the refund link in the case.
I would follow up with a message through eBay messaging to explain that they have already been refunded and to please keep the item, donate it, or otherwise dispose of it rather than return it.
