Buyer Remorse
Sold a set of 4 mini baking dishes on ebay. Ad contained many pictures of the package containing the 4 dishes, a sample dish side view and back view, recognition that the box was torn, including a picture showing the torn box, and notice that the dishes were oven and dishwasher safe but not microwave safe. All of my ads include the "Seller does not accept returns" notice. I have sold many items and all buyers have been satisfied with their purchases, many giving me excellent feedback. All my ads show adequate pictures to fully show the items. I never seek to fool any buyers.
Buyer said item was not as described and requested a refund, stating box was torn and dusty, paint job on dishes was messy and didn't appear food-safe, dish had a chip; Included a photo that looked to me like a water stain; I saw no chip, if that is what was intended.
ebay wants me to pay return shipping and refund price. I refuse to pay return shipping. I will pay to refund the price, including tax. Ebay can have it shipped to themslves or a trusted member for analysis, if they like; I am fully confident that my item was not misrepresented. I don't know where to go to directly discuss with ebay.

If you do not issue the return label, your buyer will ask eBay to step in. At best, eBay will issue the return label and charge you for it. Or they may refund the buyer in full from your funds, not refund your fees and give you an unresolved case on your seller performance.
All sellers get false returns, especially when you sell with no returns. You need to create a little fund, if only mentally, for these situations so you can refund and move on. You can report the buyer for abusing the money back guarantee, but since you do not accept returns, that does not come with any protection or reimbursement on shipping.
