Buyer refused to sell item he said was price to low although he had no reserve
I won auction for 1979 Rolls-Royce went to pay buyer started argument on phone and said they would not sell car to me. Made all kinds of accusations about me and threatened me if I made any kind of problem with his canceling the purchase. Ebay did nothing about this. I have bought on Ebay for over 30 years and never had a problem with anyone nor any transaction. How can someone do this, this is a legal and binding contract. I still want this vehicle, was this just a scam or real seller ? Ebay never investigated this person. It can become dangerous for people doing business on Ebay with people like this that threatens to do harm to you. I was accused of things I didn't say or would I ever. This person said I would never be able to use Ebay again that he would ruin me and my reputation. If Ebay makes claims that they will protect their clients, where is it ? They never contacted me. This was the first week of October. This world is not safe,now Ebay is now one of those places.

·2 years agoYou have a lot of misinformation about how eBay Motors works. First, sales on eBay Motors are completely different from the rules that run the rest of eBay. eBay Motors “purchases†are NON-binding on both the buyer and the seller. This type of transaction deals with titled property, and rules and requirements can vary across the country, so there’s no way for eBay to require that these transactions are legally binding. Also, there is an expectation on eBay’s part that the buyer will go to the vehicle’s location and examine/test drive/have a mechanic check out the vehicle before handing over payment for the title and keys. This is another way eBay Motors differs from the rest of eBay; vehicles are not returnable.
