Buyer Refused Item..what do I do now?
I sold an item in January. It was around a valuable item and my fees were sizable. I shipped the item and it arrived on time. A few weeks later the buyer frantically messaged me and said that he was in Europe and that the package (which was mailed to the West Coast, USA was going to be returned to me because the place I sent it to only holds customer packages for a couple weeks. This has caused me not only anxiety, distress, and fear of a bad review and getting my account hammered for the entire amount of the item. Well today I received the item back via UPS..but was also hit with an expensive fee for the return via my shipping provider. The buyer wants me to invoice him via email for the return shipping and whatever it costs to ship it back to him. He threatened to open an item not received case because he never received the item. Well it was received and I did get paid from eBay. I am worried they will debit my account for the entire amount and I will lose the fee and shipping money. Or do a credit card chargeback? How do I proceed? I wish eBay had a phone number I could talk to someone but I guess this is my only option.

You can get the buyer's Paypal email address and use your Paypal account to send a REQUEST MONEY option for the new shipping cost + return shipping that you were charged for due to the buyer not picking up the delivered item.

OP2 years agoIs the process approved by eBay? If I resend the package without eBay knowing the details and tracking would I be opening myself up to some sort of fraud or scam?
