You don't need help from customer service on this. When the package arrives back to you, you can refund the buyer for the item price (not including shipping if stated as a separate cost). You'll be credited your selling fees based on the amount of the refund. Then you can relist it if you still want to sell it.
Technically per eBay policy you don't have to offer any refund. However it's not right to have the item and the buyers full payment.
Also if you don't refund at least the item price there's a chance that the buyer will file a chargeback with their funding source. If you lose a chargeback dispute then you also have to pay a $20 chargeback fee.
I would be interested in what customer said too. They rarely get the site policies right.
