Buyer Refund & Stole The Item
Hi - I recently had a buyer request a refund given a small issue that happened during shipment.
After processing the return, this buyer sent me back an empty box without the item inside it. So he essentially stole something from me. And there's no way - to my knowledge - to report this to eBay.
What can I do about this?
Thanks!

Mentor1 year agoIf you cannot use the report link then you need to contact eBay customer service and let them know what happened.
You can contact customer service using this link to ask for a call back: https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4191&st=10 Please note that if the wait time for a call back is too long eBay will remove the option until the wait time is shorter. Just try again later. Customer service is open from 5am to 9pm Pacific Time.

Mentor1 year agoHi @ridgecupes
-You can use the Report Buyer link on the sold transaction's drop down menu.
-Your Seller protections may apply after you Report them: Seller protections | eBay
Depending on the situation, return reason, etc. you might be able to withhold their original shipping as well as 50% of the item price.

OP1 year ago@mr_lincoln it looks like that page is down, and has been for the last 12 hours. Are you seeing the same thing when you try and report a buyer?

The Seller protection page opens fine.
If you mean Report a Buyer use the drop-down menu on the Sold item, scroll down the list of choices, its near the bottom.

OP1 year agoThat didn't work either, unfortunately. No idea what's going on.
