Buyer received opened box with the item missing
I sold a bow and the buyer received half of the box with the bow missing. The postal carrier left the box at the front door with it opened and missing the item. Am I responsible? I sold it with the buyer paying for shipping and the post office in my local town remembers me sending the bow with the entire box intact. What do I do? I don’t think it’s fair that I am expected to pay for this and neither should the buyer

Mentor2 years agoYou are responsible for the item until delivered. Ask your buyer for photos, then refund your buyer. Go to usps.com to file a claim. Your label included $100 of insurance unless you paid for additional coverage.
Ask your buyer to hang onto the package - they may have to take it to their po for inspection.
