Buyer received item but USPS never updated tracking status
I shipped an item containing a lithium battery to Puerto Rico. It took almost four weeks to get there, but eventually it arrived. However, it has been two weeks since it was delivered and the USPS tracking still says “In transit to next facility, arriving late.â€
is there a way for the eBay tracking status (or USPS for that matter) to be manually updated to show the item as delivered? I’m assuming this would have to be done by the buyer, but they left positive feedback for the transaction so I’m thinking they would be willing to confirm they received the item.
On a separate note, has this happened to anyone else, and if so how often? The thought of a tracking breakdown by USPS combined with a buyer who wants to claim they didn’t get the item (or was porch pirated) is kind of alarming.

Mentor3 years agoYou can go to your Orders > Paid & shipped, locate the transaction, and click the tracking number to be taken to USPS.COM Then look for the link to enter your email address for future updates. Hopefully, that will update the tracking for the package.

·3 years agoNo, there isn't anything the buyer can do.
If the package didn't get a delivered scan, it'll never update on Ebay.
It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
All you can do is hope you have an honest buyer, that won't file an INR for a refund.
