Buyer rage- Buyer returned item severely damaged.
July 10, 2023
The “buyer†upon returning this clock absolutely destroyed it prior to return shipping. Buyer returned the item in the same box it was sent in. There still is no outward damage to the box.
The current damages to the clock far surpass the damage buyer claimed and showed photographs of. The handle on top of the clock is broken off. The back door no longer fits. It does not open or close property. The glass oval on the top of the clock is no longer in place.
These damages are not consistent with the type of damaged that could be expected during shipping. Even if a poorly packaged.
I took a video of myself examining the exterior of the box before I opened it looking for evidence of previous damage to the box,
I have photos of my packing the clock for shipping to the buyer. It was sufficiently protected. I have photos and a video of me opening the returned box and unwrapping the clock. Buyer made no attempt to package the clock securely whatsoever.
There are many additional glass fractures in the corners of the glass panels. This is the type of damage that could be expected during shipping-not the damage buyer showed in her photographs to me based on buyer claim that I had not sufficiently protected the item.
Buyer claimed damage to the item upon receipt. Sited I failed to package the clock securely.
Buyer was angry that I had the nerve to challenge their claim and threatened me with a bad rating and wished me “good luck “with seeing what condition the clock would be in when I got it back.
What do I do.
