Buyer purchased my item. Ebay says they will send my payment in 1 week ?

Question

Been selling on Ebay for many years & always had a 4 day payment deadline. Now I'm hearing from Ebay the buyer is still shopping & they will send the payment in a week. I do not have other items listed for sell now ?? Been away for a couple of months, is this something new from Ebay?

If sellers who have opted into autopay and give a discount for combined shipping, ebay gives the buyer the option to continue shopping and thus pay at the end of 7 days. You can remove the combined shipping, and winners of your auctions will need to pay in 1 hour after the auction ends.

Buyers have the option to combine multiple auctions won over a 7 day period with the same seller. These buyers can choose to turn on the option when they enter their auto payment information before they bid. This option is available when the seller has combined shipping set up and requires a payment method before bidding. If they win the auto payment is set to 7 days, not the usual 1 hour, to allow the buyer to bid and win more from that seller.

All auctions won within the 7 day period will be auto charged at the day and time that was set when they won the first auction. Additional items won do not extend that payment. The option is available for the buyer even when a seller only has one item for sale at the time, they could add additional items with shorter auction duration that will end before the 7 day payment window.
