Buyer protections on heavy machinery
There are a lot of sellers with new accounts, no feedback, selling excavators with no reserve auctions with shipping. They don't respond to inquiries to provide estimated shipping cost. Am I protected if I win an auction and seller bills with inflated shipping costs in order to sell machinery for what they want to get?

Mentor1 year agoThere is no money back guaranty for Industrial Machinery or Heavy Equipment. These categories are specifically excluded from the eBay Money Back Guaranty program. So eBay would be of no help for these purchases.

Do you happen to have a policy reference for that?

Mentor1 year agoHi @sdem98
-Most likely the excavators don't exist
-If it sounds too good to be true it probably is
-eBay is not vetting these Sellers
-Not responding to questions should be a dead give away that it is a scam, I mean if they want to sell high value items you would think they would answer questions about the item
-If I were making that type of investment I would want to see the unit running and excavating before I put out any money.
