Do you have to pay through eBay to be protected under their 100k guarantee for purchasing a motor vehicle?

Mentor2 years agoIf the vehicle is listed on ebay, and you make a purchase, you only pay the deposit, if there is one. You make arrangements to meet with the seller, hopefully bringing along your mechanic to inspect the vehicle. You then exchange payment for the keys and title, which might require going to the seller's bank for a cashiers check.
