Buyer profile hacked, used to get steam gift card info. $40 2 cards
If I may be pointed in the right direction to verbally communicate with an eBay customer service /dispute representative. March 4th I received an eBay email stating that a third party had hacked into a buyer who had been in contact with me about above mentioned gift cards. Not knowing exactly what I'm supposed to be looking for it turned out that the hack did take the information to deplete the $40 off the $220 gift cards I'm under the impression that I have sold these to a legitimate customer and that I will receive the money that has Been verified and collected by eBay. I really hope that someone reaches out to me through email or my personal contact information and the next day or so I would have assumed that eBay is more professional and more out to resolve a situation with a new user like this versus how quick can we make this look like we did our part. Literally have been insured that the situation has been checked out completely and that upon this they can inform me that the buyer received their refund and everything is perfect. I'm to a point of I have two total sales one great review the other an email from eBay saying they were hacked so why would I lie about what happened when you have all the messages and I'm getting ignored now it's not even how did we do anymore because they don't know how to answer the question or I guess it doesn't want to admit that they were hacked and cost someone some of their items well community if you made it this far I'm the one that will paste copy the email onto every social media site I can possibly think of and it may only be a negative thought but people will know that eBay isn't what they let on to be their customer service is the poorest I've ever seen in my life the response is only given when it's simple and in their favor and if they actually really did look through it and check it out we could probably come to an agreement and everyone walk away happy this happens the situation happens the way that it's being handled shouldn't happen eBay community this is new user or new loser since I got my money stolen be joyful please
advise would appreciate it.

OP3 years agoI've gotten a hold of them a couple times the first lady that I spoke with kept over talking me telling me that my ticket was closed that there's nothing she could do for me the second person when they finally understood what I was saying instead of contradicting me they said that the ticket was closed that unfortunately I had learned it valuable lesson so basically got told that because I did what I did and gave the information out that I'm pretty much screwed up that money I understand if I ever gave that information out to the person that I thought I was talking to instead of the person that had hacked the system a third party I don't find any rules in here saying that if an account is hacked then I believe that the rules should be to get reimbursed not that well you shouldn't have gave the information now because the very next person that paid me for those cards I could have gotten that money they wouldn't have screwed me they could have got the numbers online and I wouldn't care but I understand now and eBay needs new customer service they're very vague hard to get a hold of they don't listen they all want to over talk and get you off the phone I got hung up on I mean it's crazy I've got it all recorded myself too I learned once they didn't really investigate to start taking copies of my emails and recording my phone calls so that once they deny me again I can just let everybody hear and read how I have been treated as a brand new ebay customer and would have been a great one along these years however they seem to not want to comply with admitting that there was a hack the only time that they have admitted this is in the email / notification that they sent me that's it every time I mention it in my replies or whatever if not brought up it's dead thank you for returning the second buyers money and they don't know what's going on so it's okay I appreciate whoever gave me this information I don't appreciate how I've been treated and handled I understand that if I had gave the actual account holder the actual buyer that I thought I was talking to then I wouldn't even be having a problem like this but it wasn't them if it was who knows how do they know that they would have took my money they don't their account was hacked their system taking advantage of and they don't want to admit it so I will I will admit it for them all over every social media site, I'm working in an apartment complex as a maintenance tech I'm sure that out of these 400 people there are some eBay users I see packages going all the time so once they find out how this isn't as protected as they thought then maybe they'll change their minds. If they can hack the buyer and trick you into giving them the information that who knows what kind of information they can get from this security system that doesn't obviously work
