Buyer placed a bid by mistake

A buyer contacted me immediately after accidentally hitting the minimum bid on an item of mine. I have tried to cancel for them but failed during the open auction. Now the auction is closed and I can not find where to make amends.

First thing to know is that it is impossible to mistakenly make a bid. Bidding is a two step process so mistakes really cannot be made. If you want to be nice to the winner you need to find the item on your sold list and then cancel the purchase using the reason "At buyers request".
