Buyer payment to ebay cancelled
Buyer paid Ebay with CC then said did not recognize sale and cancelled payment to ebay. ebay charged account and I'm now out $284.95. What are my options ? What about ebay seller protections? Do I call buyer and let him know I may file claim in small claims court of file charges with FBI for cyber fraud. Tried to ask ebay how to handle and they said would call in about 2 minutes- I'm still waiting for the call.

-I see this was sold on October 7th ... I assume the Buyer did not file a return through eBay but just went right to their funding source (credit card company) to file the dispute. Check your Recent activity file (over on the right) on this page to see if eBay also charged you $ 20.00 for losing the dispute. Seller Hub | Your financial summary | eBay
-I see you use the No returns accepted setting which is NOT protection against something being returned. eBay has numerous reasons that bypass that policy and force you to pay for a return label and refund upon receipt. So, The Buyer either didn't know they were protected by the eBay money back guarantee for 30 days or assumed they would have to file a dispute with their funding source if there were issues. On the other end, the Buyer could know how eBay works and decided just to file a dispute with their credit card company to try to get the item for free. As soon as they do that they lose eBay protection.
-Now, I have to ask this, did the Buyer file for a return and you denied it?

-The Buyer's phone number should be on the order details. You have the option to reach out to them but after one call they may simply block your number, just so you know. If you do intend to take them to small claims court it may be more effective to simply process that instead of giving them a heads up that you are pursuing legal action with them. At the end of the day the choice is yours.
-Now, please do not misunderstand, I am certainly on your side and hate scams like this. However, the venue and internet sales works in certain ways. We've had a few scams run against us over 10 plus years of selling on three accounts. Sadly, Sellers don't always win in certain situations. That item is not a high scam item like jewelry, sneakers, luxury purses, etc. but if someone wants it for free they will do what they can to get it for free.
