buyer paid too low of postage
I am in California and a buyer in Pennsylvania paid for the item. I put in a weight that was extra to take into consideration the box extra padding and insurance as it is a very fragile item. The buyer paid $85 for shipping and the shipping will be over $200. I cannot reach Ebay for a resolution. What is the proper procedure when a shipping amount is so incorrect. Thank you for any help.

·2 years agoYou can’t charge the buyer more for shipping than was shown in the listing.
You have two options:
1) (preferred). Ship anyway, taking it as a necessary (albeit expensive) lesson about checking the shipping cost six ways to Sunday before listing.
2) Cancel . . . But you’ll have to cancel as “out of stock “, which will get you a defect against your account and probably negative feedback from the buyer.
Which is the lesser of two evils for you?
