Buyer paid after time away scheduled
Hi, my buyer won an auction but didn’t pay until Monday, the day I started my time away. I was checking all day Monday and it finally said paid with a shipping date of today, Thursday. I can’t see what time she paid but my time away started at 2 pm. Is that a glitch with the system. I have reached out to the buyer several times to find out a preference of waiting 2 weeks until I am back or getting a full refund. I have had no response to any of my messages. Any suggestions on how to handle this? I have made the efforts and I don’t want to just leave it. Anyone have experience with this? I wish I could just refund as this has been putting a damper on my time away. Thanks in advance.

Mentor2 years agoDo you have someone that can ship the item for you? If you wait two weeks, you will get defects for late shipping. Two weeks is a long time, the buyer might even open an INR by then.
You can just refund, but it will be for a seller reason, so you will get a defect for that.
You are in a real pickle. Either direction you go it is an issue for you. I actually don't see a path to where there isn't a defect or bad feedback in your future, sorry.
Let me phone a friend to see if she has any ideas. @comics-scifi-collectibles

Mentor2 years ago@ldennis25. This is why I always start time away at least 5 days before I leave town.
I would message the buyer and let them know about the delay in shipping. Apologize profusely .
Ask the buyer if they want to cancel or wait for you to get back
IF they ask to cancel then you can use buyer requested .
If they want to wait then it will be a late shipment ding on your account, not great but better than a DEFECT for canceling as out of stock. Out of stock is the ONLY reason you can use for cancelation if the buyer doesn't ask to cancel.
