·2 years agoMy advice is to NOT accept it. S/he is making that offer, AT BEST, because s/he a) doubts that that amount would win if the auction goes to the end and/or b) is i.) chronically and/or ii.) situationally impatient. AT BEST.
AND you don't know what his/her bid amounts are. All 3 are showing at the Starting Price because s/he is the only bidder.
AND by placing the bids s/he is causing you effort and costing you money if you accept. If s/he had messaged you without bidding you could have added a Best Offer or Buy It Now option up until 12 hours before the end (or the first bid, whichever is earlier).
In order to sell you would have to cancel all bids and end the auction early without a winner, ticking off any prospective bidders and incurring a fee of your Final Value Fee percentage for that listing time the highest bid cancelled (and you don't know what the highest bid is since the full amount is hidden until you do cancel it). Then you would have to relist (with the usual fees) in a manner that the offeror can buy it but you have some control over what others do (if you must, list them in one listing as a fixed-price with Best Offer with a high BIN). AND there is no guarantee that the offeror will actually do it.
