Buyer not paying for an auctioned item.

Question

Had a buyer place a bid at the last moment and never responded to repeated attempts for payment. The sale was cancelled. I have been unable to provide an evaluation for this buyer as the sale was cancelled. This is not fair. This looks to be a poor customer, and the actions should be reflected in their overall ratings.

Sellers have been prohibited from leaving negative feedback for buyers since 2008. It is against Ebay feedback policy to leave negative comments within a positive feedback.

When a buyer does not pay, cancel the transaction after 4 days of non-payment have passed, specify "buyer didn't pay". (hopefully you did this already)

In Seller Hub, go to Orders.
Find the order you want to cancel, and from More actions, select Cancel order.
Select "buyer didn't pay" as the reason for the cancellation and then select Submit to finish.

All unpaid items are recorded on a buyer's account. Buyers who have excessive unpaid items, or canceled transactions, may have limits imposed, or lose their buying privileges.

Place the non-paying buyer on your Blocked Buyer List:
