Buyer made me send them a certain offer for an item and I never heard from them again.
A buyer was interested in an item I had. They said they would only pay a certain price. It was lower than what I wanted, or what I thought it was worth. At first I didn't agree. But they sort of gave me attitude, gave me a sob story about their personal condition, I guess so I would feel bad, and made me feel really bad. Their last message was kind of rude, so I didn't respond. Anyway a few days later, needing money, I decided I might as well sell it for what they were willing to pay. I reached out to see if they were still interested, and they were. So, I sent them an offer for the price they wanted to pay. Next they tell me that the shipping was a little too high. So, they told me they declined the offer but if I lowered the shipping and send another offer, they would accept and pay. So, I did just that. Afterwards, not only was the offer not accepted, but I have been ghosted. They have not responded to any of my messages. This has been very frustrating, and damaging to me psychologically. I was ready to sell it at the price they wanted, I really need the money, was excited to be able to get some, even if it was lower than what it was worth, and just the way they initially made me feel for not agreeing to their price, then to have me go further and lower the shipping, and in the end, not even accept the offer, and ghost me, not letting me know anything about what is going on. It may not seem like that big a deal but to me it was. I thought I had made the sale and was really looking forward to the money that I need, and now nothing. What should I do?

All you can do at this point is to place them on your Blocked Buyer List:

OP2 years agoYa that is unfortunate. Well, I mean, I don't know what else I was hoping to hear. Not much we can do in a situation like that. Can't force someone to buy the item. Just unfortunate because if you read the messages back and forth anyone would be disappointed to not hear from the person. But hey, you never know, perhaps there was an emergency and the buyer cannot reach out currently. Maybe that is being optimistic. But thank you for your reply.

OP2 years agoWell, excuse me, not optimistic about there being an emergency. That would not be good. I mean optimistic about the situation because it does seem like the buyer has ghosted me.
